Ghostbusters: Ice Apocalypse, fifth film in the saga known as Ghost Buster in Brazil, it debuted at the top in the United States, grossing $45.2 million in its first weekend alone. With its success, the franchise officially became billion-dollar, surpassing the billion-dollar mark at the global box office with its five films.

Directed by franchise veteran Gil Kenan Ghostbusters 4 has a direct connection to the other three films (1984, 1989 and 2021). Returning to the original saga, in New York the film will feature Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd and Ernie Hudson, the original cast, as well as actors of the new generation, from Ghostbusters – Beyond (2021).
According to the synopsis, the sequence will show a new threat, which must arise from an ancient artifact, putting the world at risk of a second ice age.
It’s worth noting that, unfortunately, the only member of the originals who won’t physically return is Ramis. The actor died in 2014, at the age of 69, in an emotional scene Furtherthe character reappeared as a ghost.
