Eight teams have defined the rankings for the quarterfinals
The eighth round of the group stage of the Copa do Nordeste concluded on Wednesday evening (27th). With eight simultaneous matches the clubs defined their qualifications for the knockout phase of the tournament.
CEARÁ 2 X 1 ITABIANA
Out of the quarterfinals for most of the match, Ceará started the match by losing to Sergipe’s team. However, Vozão managed to turn the tide with goals from Facundo Castro and Erick Pulga in the final stretch of the second half and secured 4th place in Group A.
SPORT 3 X 0 JUAREIZENSE
Leão da Ilha claimed favoritism by playing at Arena Pernambuco and was unaware of Juazeirense. With this, Sport qualified with the leadership of Group A and a near-flawless season in the group stage.
AMÉRICA-RN 1 X 0 NÁUTICO
With a goal in injury time from Rafael Diniz, América-RN beat Náutico, despite already being eliminated from the Copa do Nordeste. On the other hand, the Pernambuco club has secured a place in the next phase.
MARANHÃO 3 X 2 FORTALEZA
