Still struggling for a reaction in Portuguese, Porto visits Estoril

After the triumphs of their rivals, Porto needs victory to keep the dream of the national title in Portugal alive; Estoril struggled not to fall

This Saturday (30th), Porto meets Estoril, in the 27th round of the Portuguese Championship, in a match that is worth the survival of the dream of the Portuguese title for the blue and white team. The Dragons are far from leaders Sporting and Benfica, so they need a triumph to continue in the fight for national victory.

On the pitch at Estoril, Porto will see the return of striker Galeno, a Brazilian who played for the Seleção during the FIFA event. Eliminated from the Champions League by Arsenal, the club is having a good run in the league, not losing in four matches. But they are ten points behind Sporting and will need a great recovery (in addition to the drop in performance of their rivals) to stay in the fight.

On the other hand, Estoril is fighting not to fall. Despite having the seventh best attack in the competition, with 42 goals, they have lost more than half of their games (15 out of 26). Furthermore, they are just two points above Portimonense, the first team in the relegation zone. Therefore, winning at home is essential. Last year the team managed to beat Porto twice: in the League Cup and in the Portuguese Championship.

Also this Saturday the round will feature Vitória de Guimarães x Moreirense, Arouca x Farense and Boavista x Rio Ave.
