Fluminense will travel this Monday and train at the coach of the Peru national team

Fluminense debuts in the Conmebol Libertadores against Alianza Lima, Wednesday at 9.30pm, at the Estadio Alejandro Villanueva

Fluminense released the week’s program on Saturday. The Tricolore will debut for the Conmebol Libertadores, this Wednesday, at 9.30pm, against Alianza Lima, in group A of the competition. The current American champion will travel to Lima this Monday after afternoon training.

The day after the away match, Tuesday, Fluminense will train at the head coach of the Peruvian Football Federation. This will be just the training before the first Libertadores match in 2023. The team is already familiar with the CT facilities, given that it was already used by the Tricolor before the match against Sporting Cristal, at the debut of the last Libertadores. The logistics for 2024 will be the same as those adopted in 2023.

The trip to Peru will be the longest of Fluminense’s entire group stage. The journey between Rio de Janeiro and Lima will last approximately 5 hours and 30 minutes, with a distance of 3,846 km, and the delegation will travel on a charter flight.

The team will arrive in Lima rested, having taken advantage of the appointment set by FIFA to intensify training and carry out a second pre-season of the year. At the start of 2024, the starting team returned to the field after just six days of training, due to the impact of the Club World Cup dispute.
