Pope Francis once again expressed his concern for conflicts in the world and called for peace for countries at war, such as Ukraine and Israel, during the Urbi et Orbi blessing held this Sunday (31st) after Easter mass.
“Today we turn our gaze first of all to the Holy City of Jerusalem, witness to the mystery of the passion, death and resurrection of Jesus, and to all the Christian communities of the Holy Land. My thoughts go above all to the victims of the numerous conflicts underway in the world, to starting with those in Israel and Palestine, and in Ukraine,” he said.
“May the Risen Christ open a path of peace”. .
