Talking on TF1: Look out, the settings have changed in the episodes airing tonight!

On Monday, March 25, TF1 began broadcasting Le Négociateur, its new detective series hosted by François-Xavier Demaison and Jeanne Bourneau. Case in point, comedian Antoine Clerc, a former BRI negotiator, now leads an (almost) peaceful life with his three daughters, Manon, Clara and Lila, from three different unions.

Unfortunately, he is forced to return to work when he and his daughter are taken hostage in a bank. After handling the situation professionally, he joined the RAID group led by Helen Banier.

Tour between Paris and Lille

When it comes to filming locations, The Negotiator has a peculiarity that only the most seasoned viewers will notice. In fact, the production changed locations between the first two episodes and the next four. Although the differences are visible to the naked eye, they have no effect on the story.

According to the information Recreational televisionwho was able to speak with Jérôme Schwab, Le Négociateur’s production coordinator, the first two episodes, which were filmed between February and March 2023, were filmed in and around Paris.

The bank, the location of the original hostages, is located in a former Citroën garage on the avenue de la République in Paris. Antoine’s house is located in Romanville.

The next four episodes were shot between September and November 2023 in northern France. Antoine’s “new” home is now located in Verlingham, 7 km from Lille.

The farm at the center of episode 3 is located in Vissan, while the hotel in episode 4 uses the setting of the Hôtel Hainaut in Valenciennes.

The Theater du Nord, located in the heart of Lille, is the site of the attack at the beginning of the fifth act. Finally, in episode 6, it is the Gustave Eiffel high school in Armentieres that serves as the location for the hostages.
