Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 It’s James Gunn’s last Marvel film, but it’s certainly not the end of the space mercenary group. Following the conclusion of the trilogy, the group has been drastically changed and will no longer include most of the original characters, but will instead gain new members.
Last chance to give up! From here on out there are spoilers for those who haven’t seen it. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
How Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 ended
The Guardians of the Galaxy have been gaining and losing members since the first film in the trilogy. For example, Nebula joined the group, but Gamora remained on the back burner (more precisely, in Avengers: Infinity War).
In the third film, the Guardians try to reestablish themselves in Nowhere, but their peace is tested by villains from Rocket’s past.
Surprisingly, none of the crew members die in the end. Instead, they choose to follow different paths. Peter Quill, Star-Lord, decides to return to Earth to be with his grandfather. Mantis chooses to travel the galaxy to find his place. Nebula and Drax want to stay in the Void and rebuild what was destroyed after the battle with the High Evolutionary, the villain of the film.
Who’s left?
New members of the Guardians of the Galaxy
But the Guardians of the Galaxy can’t just be made up of the two of them. Apparently, already known faces are expected to officially join the group.
Get to know some of them, according to the Collider:

Kraglin
Kraglin is by no means a new face. Played by Sean Gunn (yes, director James Gunn’s brother), he was already Yondu’s apprentice (Peter Quill’s adoptive father) since the first film.
With the death of his mentor in the first film, he inherits his weapon, but initially does not know how to control it. Over the course of the trilogy, he begins to master the tool and helps the Guardians of the Galaxy defeat the High Evolutionary, earning him his position in the group.

Cosmo, the space dog
Now Rocket will no longer be the only animal on the Guardians of the Galaxy team. Cosmo, the space dog, appeared in the first film of the trilogy, a prisoner of the Collector’s “experiments”.
When the Power Stone destroys the villain’s collection, Cosmo survives and escapes his captor. In Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3appears in Nowhere and eventually befriends Kraglin.

Adam Sorcerer
For Guardians of the Galaxy fans, it wasn’t a huge surprise to see Adam Warlock join the group, which should come to fruition in the upcoming films.
In the third film, his mother Ayesha releases him earlier than expected due to the request of his boss, the High Evolutionary. But Adam, created to be super powerful, is not fully mature and, when he is saved by Groot, he decides to switch sides and return the favor by saving Peter Quill.

Phyla
Phyla is one of the most mysterious characters who should join the new formation of the Guardians of the Galaxy.
To the Vol. 3, he is revealed to be part of the High Evolutionary’s genetic experiment group, which Rocket was also a part of. Later, her raccoon can be seen teaching her English, a sign that the two already have a certain relationship.
