The 1-1 result at the Olympic Stadium in London is negative for the goals of both teams
The London derby between West Ham and Tottenham was one of the attractions of the 31st round of the Premier League. Last Tuesday (2), the teams found themselves in a 1-1 draw at the Olympic Stadium in London, in a match without great excitement. Brennan Johnson opened the scoring for Spurs, while Kurt Zouma left it all for the Hammers too. Both goals were scored in the first half.
Therefore, the result was negative for both teams’ goals in the Premier League. This is because West Ham wasted the opportunity to get closer to the qualification zone for the next European competitions and reached the third consecutive match without winning in the English championship. The Hammers are thus in 7th place, with 45 points, 12 less than Tottenham themselves, fifth.
The Spurs, on the other hand, reach 57 points, in fifth place, and open the qualification zone for European tournaments. Tottenham, however, saw Aston Villa stumble in the group and wasted the opportunity to definitively move to fourth place, where the places for the next edition of the Champions League begin.
