Is Pierre Nini imitating Francois Clouseau? Francois Civil as a real fake armor maker? Vincent Cassel as an insufferable actor? Geraldine Nakache and Pascal DeMolon as obsolete lieutenants? All this and more in the premieres of Fiasco, an event series celebrating the reunion of the five teams on Netflix. On April 30, the platform will offer 7 episodes of season 1 (35 minutes each), just to offer subscribers an extraordinary dive behind the scenes of the cinema on May 1 (Long) Bridge.
fiascoThis is the long-awaited reunion of the trio of five. Eight years after the iconic comedy, Pierre Nin and François Civil reunite with their accomplice Igor Gottesman (Family Business) for an on-set immersion, surely informed by their own experiences on set.
“We wanted to talk about the hierarchies and intimate relationships that make up the series. This is where comedies and dramas come into play: money is at stake, stress is at stake, some are gambling with their careers, and others are at stake…”explains like this To our colleagues of the Prime Minister Pierre Nini, who writes the series with Igor Gotsman, Tanya Gotsman and Nikolas Slomka.
The actor plays a shy director, embarking on his first feature film and quickly running into egos, tensions, hiccups (which range from a whimsical smoke machine to a stuntman’s severed legs)… and especially a member. The team that decided to sabotage the production. With the help of his friends, he will do everything to avoid it fiasco of the title.
This pitch that combines approach mocking (with the camera following the protagonists), will allow the series to cross several genres (Viking movie, war movie, costume movie, prehistoric movie, etc. See Claire Chazal and Amber Shaloumo in the first pictures).
For the lucky ones, Fiasco will appear out of competition at the CANNESERIES festival, which will take place from April 5 to 10 on the Croisette. For the rest of you, see you April 30th on Netflix with five (re)watches to look forward to!
