Renowned director Sam Raimi has expressed his interest in participating in the “Avengers: Secret Wars” project, in which there are rumors about his main nomination to direct the film. Raimi is known for his contributions to the original Spider-Man trilogy, he has stated that he wanted to participate in this project.
“I love 90% of the Marvel heroes I’ve read in Stan Lee’s great Marvel Universe comics […] I would love to work with Marvel again. They haven’t formally asked me yet. I hope you had a good experience with me. They haven’t asked me yet. I hope they do.” says Raimi.
Sam Raimi made his debut at Marvel Studios with the film “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness”, which brought great recognition to his career. This film, starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Xochitl Gomez, also marked the first introduction of the X-Men into the franchise.
The “Secret Wars” saga had its origins when Mattel acquired the rights to create toys based on Marvel characters. To boost sales, the company asked Marvel to launch a major crossover involving its main heroes and villains. And to this day, it’s still remembered as one of Marvel Comics’ best events.
