Police data reveals that around 800 detainees also have links to the criminal faction
With simultaneous actions in Paraguayan penitentiaries, the National Police has so far managed to identify 25 Brazilian prisoners linked to the PCC (First Command of the Capital) and other criminal groups. Operation Purgátio was launched on Thursday morning (4) in six cities.
The prisoners on the initial list drawn up by the National Police were removed from their cells in the penitentiaries of Asunción, Concepción, Pedro Juan Caballero, Itapúa, Ciudad del Este and Coronel Oviedo.
