Once: Winnie and Tito, two music hall artist mice, see their dreams of success fall by the wayside when the Earth is drowned in a flood. With the help of fate, they manage to climb into Noah’s ark. In the middle of an argument between herbivores and carnivores, Winnie and Tito have the perfect solution to ease the tension: a singing contest!
Noah’s Ark Raiders can be seen in theaters from April 10. Starting Sunday, April 7, multiple previews will also be offered in France. Find the schedule on the Sessions page.
What they love: A fantastic reinterpretation of the famous legend of Noah’s Ark, this animated film invites the audience to follow an amazing duo of inseparable mice united by a passion for music. But when a flood is announced, Winnie and Tito discover that they might not be on the journey…
While this story has already been told in many forms, be it in cinema, literature or art, this feature film especially focuses on the coexistence between the animals on the boat. When some try to impose their law, led by a hostile lion, followed by powerful companions such as a gorilla and a bear, those considered the weakest must join forces to confront them.
While meeting other animals as well as themselves, such as a surprising mustached cockroach and a caring elephant, Winnie and Tito also manage to climb aboard and bond with the smaller animals. To counter the pesky lion’s plans, an idea is proposed: organize a singing contest to determine who will rule the place.
The film very nicely pays tribute to two great musical figures who inspired the two main characters: Vinicius de Moraes and Tom Jobim, the creators of bossa nova and the authors of one of the most famous Brazilian songs in the world. The former also wrote the story of Noah’s Ark in verse for his children before setting it to music.
Today, in a delightful and humorous production with Brazilian cultural influence, this familiar story takes a new form on film!
What might be bothering them: Malevolent and aggressive, the character of the lion can scare young viewers, especially when he talks about devouring some of the passengers on the ark. However, this film is still aimed at children, and none of the scenes should particularly frighten them.

What they will keep deep: This beautiful story of friendship carries a message of tolerance and emphasizes the importance of supporting those around us. There is strength in numbers, and Noah’s Ark Raiders doesn’t remind us of that, showing true teamwork by oppressed animals to counter the evil intentions of the lion and his masters.
The feature film also deals with environmental issues such as sea level rise and global warming. “We want to talk to children of all ages about urgent and topical issues, but in a light and fun way.” Film directors Sergio Machado and Alois Di Leo explain.
Embark on a fun family adventure starting April 10th when Noah’s Ark Raiders hits theaters!
