Globo confirms the third season of “The Others”

Lucas Paraizo is developing itineraries that promise to explore beyond the condominium walls

Globo confirmed on Friday (4/12) that Lucas Paraizo is in the final stage of writing the scripts for the third season of “Os Others.” The new phase of production, which takes place in an imaginary condominium in the capital of Rio de Janeiro, promises to dare and explore the world outside the walls of buildings, tackling themes such as intolerance and the search for truth in a context of polarization.

Discovering new territories

In an interview during the Chega Festival, held on Thursday (11/4) at Estúdios Globo, Paraizo revealed some of the new features audiences can expect. “Let’s radicalize and explore the world that happens on the street, outside the condominium, in conflict only with the neighbors, with the same aim of talking about intolerance. What happens when everyone thinks they’re right?”, asked the screenwriter, to whom it was also responsible for the success “Sob Pressão”.

Paraizo emphasized the importance of combining purpose and concept in the series. “The series must prioritize the union of purpose and concept and add them to entertainment and, with this, gain depth and relevance,” she said. “In ‘Under Pressure,’ for example, we talked a lot about health issues. And we did five seasons. In ‘The Others,’ we talked about the current moment we live in where there is no tolerance,” he said.

The first season of “Os Others” will premiere next Thursday (18/4) on Globo. The 2nd season has already been recorded and will be broadcast between July and August on Globoplay, just when the 1st season ends on open TV. The third should be recorded only in 2025 and does not yet have a release date.
