Who remembers gum? These little bears who love Gummibooze, a magical drink that gives them the power to jump and bounce like balloons, are an original creation from Disney Studios. In France, their series aired on FR3 from 1986, then TF1 on The Disney Channel in 1989 and 1990.
Gummies
The story tells about little live bears hiding underground in a deep forest. There they keep a large gummy book that chronicles the achievements of their people and make the aforementioned gummyboys. And their adventures are available to all Disney+ subscribers! It is enough to quickly return to childhood or immerse your children in it.

Gummi would be nothing to Kevin, a young page from Dunwin’s Kingdom, who discovers their existence and that the gummy bean gives people who drink it superhuman strength. So when the kingdom is threatened by the fearsome Duke Igor and his ogres, Kevin realizes that Gummy’s help will be necessary.
The 2nd animated series of the Disney studio

Duke Igor and Todd
In 1985, The Gummi was the second animated series to come out of Disney Studios after the short-lived The Wuzzles (cancelled in 1986 after 13 episodes on Canal+ and 1987 on France 3). Gummi’s success was immediate and gave the studio the confidence to release La bande à Picsou two years later, which also gained public support.
The theme song was sung by Duchka, the voice of Disney’s songs in 1984 and 1987, who would go on to sign four albums for the studio:
Gummi ran for six seasons, offering kids a great introduction to the fantasy genre, with “Disney’s guarantee” that the series will be watchable from 6 years old. Even the evil Duke Igor isn’t too scary because he never has the last word and is always laughed at. Rediscover it with your family over a glass of gum… or more likely fruit juice!
