Yellowstone: This actor won an Oscar and a Grammy, and no, it’s not Kevin Costner!

Which Yellowstone actor won an Oscar? The most obvious answer is Kevin Costner, who actually won Best Picture and Best Director for Dances With Wolves in the early 90s.

Also nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actor for the same film (his only career nomination in that category), although the latter was never awarded an Academy Award.

But Kevin Costner is not the only actor from the Yellowstone series who received an Academy Award! Another performer of the program was also awarded an Oscar, but also a Grammy Award.

A country star in Yellowstone!

Ryan Bingham is known to Yellowstone fans as Walker, one of the cowboys on the Dutton Ranch. A famous singer/songwriter in the United States, the latter never misses an opportunity to showcase his musical talents and these sequences gave the western series unforgettable moments.

In 2009, his name appeared in the movie Crazy Heart. This feature film about the life of a fictional country star earned lead actor Jeff Bridges an Oscar for Best Actor. Although the film also marked his acting debut, Ryan Bingham also won an Oscar for his role as a composer.

The song The Weary Kind, co-written with the legendary T Bone Burnett, won the award for Best Original Song. Ryan Bingham, who performed this title, which is the main theme of the film, also won a Grammy Award as well as a Golden Globe for the same song.

Some music taken from Ryan Bingham’s personal albums was also used in Yellowstone. And in particular the title Wolves (from his latest album, American Love Song), was performed in an acoustic version in one of the first seasons of the Western series.
