United States and Germany strengthen support for Israel

Germany, another country allied with Israel, also showed support for the Israelis and condemned the Iranian attack.
“Iran has launched drones and missiles at Israel. We strongly condemn the ongoing attack, which has the potential to throw an entire region into chaos. Iran and its allied groups must put an immediate end to this. All Our solidarity goes to Israel at this time,” said German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock.
The UK shows support for Israel but says it wants to avoid an escalation
British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak also condemned the attack and added that he was working to prevent an escalation.
“I strongly condemn the Iranian regime’s reckless attack on Israel. Iran has demonstrated once again that it intends to sow chaos in its own backyard. The UK will continue to defend the security of Israel and all our regional partners, including Jordan and Iraq,” the prime minister said, in a statement released on social media.
“Together with our allies, we are working urgently to stabilize the situation and prevent further escalation. No one wants to see further bloodshed.”
Egypt calls for “moderation”
The Egyptian government, in turn, called on Israel and Iran to exercise “maximum restraint”.
“Egypt believes that the dangerous escalation that the Iranian and Israeli spheres are currently witnessing is nothing more than a direct result of what Egypt has repeatedly warned against.”
“Egypt underlines that it is in constant contact with all interested parties to try to contain the situation, stop the escalation and spare the region the risk of falling into a dangerous curve of instability and threat to the interests of the peoples involved.”
