The Kansas City Current has taken over the NWSL, the United States women’s soccer league. This is because the team made up of Bia Zaneratto, Debinha and Lauren Leal drew, away from home, with NJ/NY Gotham, Bruninha’s team. The match ended 1-1 and Empress helped Malawi’s Temwa Chawinga open the scoring.
For the NJ/NY team, Bruninha played on the right wing during the 90 minutes of the match. On the list, however, there was only Bia Zaneratto, starter for Kansas City, who also remained for the entire duration of the duel. Thus, in the 17th minute of the first half, Imperatriz starts on the counterattack, again from the defense field and surrounded by four opponents. The player took advantage of Chawinga’s great speed to throw the ball in projection and leave her teammate in front of the opponent’s goal to touch it above the goalkeeper. See the offer below:

However, Bruninha’s team was looking for an equalizer at the start of the second half, with a goal from Esther González. The ball came from a corner cross from the right of the attack with Yazmeen Ryan bringing it to the head of the attacker, who completed the move into the back of the net. In addition to the assist, Bia also had two other shots on target, while Bruninha had no chance to find the net.
With the draw, Bia’s Kansas City has ten points from four games, the other three are victories. So, he moved to isolated command. NJ/NY has four points, with a game in hand, and is in seventh place.
Bruninha’s team returns to the field away from home, against the Washington Spirit, on the 20th, just as Bia’s team hosts Bay on the same date.
