Every fan of The Witcher wondered if the series would survive the departure of its main actor, Henry Cavill. The latter actually decided to leave the program at the end of season 3 due to artistic differences with showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hisrich.
It has already been confirmed that Liam Hemsworth will replace him in season 4 as Geralt of Rivia. Chris Hemsworth’s younger brother (Thori) has also started training, which is a sign that filming for season 4 will begin very soon. A casting call later posted on social media confirmed that the program had resumed production.

Against all expectations, Netflix has announced the imminent end of the series. But fans can rest assured that the program will not end at the end of season 4, but at the end of season five, which was just announced officially.
Three books by Andrzej Sapkowski are still being adapted: Baptism of fire, Swallow Tower and lady of the lake. The adaptation of these three novels will be compressed into two seasons, and therefore everything indicates that the end of the series will come sooner than expected.
The Witcher Season 4 is currently not scheduled to begin filming until 2025. The first three seasons are now available on Netflix.
