Encceja is the National exam for the certification of skills for young people and adults. The assessment is carried out for people who have not completed primary and secondary education at a regular age.

The objective of the exam is to assess the skills, abilities and knowledge of young people and adults at the level of completion of primary and secondary education. Through the assessment, participants will be able to receive certification of the completion of these teaching phases.

Encceja registration 2024

Registration for Encceja 2024 is free and can be done in the exam system between days April 29th and May 10th. Applicants must provide personal data and answer a socioeconomic questionnaire.

Students requiring specialist care and those wishing to receive treatment using their social name will need to indicate this option when registering.

Preliminary results of requests for specialist care and treatment by social name will be announced on May 17. Appeals will be accepted between May 20th and 24th. Inep will announce the results of the appeals on May 29th.

Candidates who registered for Encceja 2023 and did not participate in the tests had to justify their absence to avoid having to pay a fee of R$40. The results were published earlier this week.

Who can register for Encceja 2024?

2024 candidates who fit the Iminimum age required by the level of education:

  • Elementary School: Brazilians with 15 years or more on the day of the test.

  • High school: Brazilians with 18 years or more on the day of the test.

Encceja 2024 Exams




The Encceja 2024 exams will be held on August 25thfour hours in the morning and five hours in the afternoon.

On the day of the exam, the gates will be openbased on the test period:

  • The morning: They open at 8:00 and close at 8:45.

  • The afternoon: They open at 2.30pm and close at 3.15pm.

The evaluation is composed on the basis of the Reference Matrices available on the Inep portal. Encceja contains four objective testsbased on the level of education (elementary and secondary). Each test consists of 30 objective questions.

Encceja 2024 result and certificate

The Encceja 2024 result will be announced on the same day December 23.

Candidates can access their performance in the exam system. To be approved by Encceja is required:

  • take at least 100 points in each of the objective tests;

  • get at least 5 points in the written average (the textual production score varies from 0 to 10).

The calculation of the objective tests is carried out according to the Item Response Theory (TRI), the same methodology used in the national high school exam (Enem).

The Encceja 2024 certificate must be requested from state departments of education or federal institutionswho took the exam. Participants can check the full list of these locations in the Encceja registration system.
