Speak No Evil, Danish horror remake, gets national title and trailer

Production is based on the 2022 hit and features James McAvoy (X-Men) and Mackenzie Davis (The Terminator) in the cast

Universal Pictures released, this Thursday (25), the national title and trailer for Speak No Evil, remake of Danish horror Gæsterne (2022), starring James McAvoy(X-Men: First Class). In Brazil, the production, which does not yet have a confirmed release date, was called Don’t Speak Evilthe same as the original feature film.

In the story, a Danish couple and their daughter end up meeting another couple and their son, a boy who was born without the language, during a trip. They create affinity and the boy’s parents invite the other family to visit them at their home.

They accept and everything goes well for the first few days, but soon the hosts’ passive-aggressive and even abusive behaviors begin to bother the guests, who do everything they can to leave the place safely. Watch the preview:

In addition to McAvoythe cast of the new version of Don’t Speak Evil count with Mackenzie Davis (Terminator: Dark Fate), Scoot McNairy (A Quiet Place: Part II), Alix West Lefler (Riverdale), Aisling Franciosi (game of Thrones) and the newcomer Daniel Hough.

Written and directed by James Watkins (The woman in Black) and produced by Jason Blum (Five Nights at Freddy’s – The Neverending Nightmare), Don’t Speak Evil is scheduled to premiere on September 13th in North American theaters. In Brazil, the film does not yet have a release date.
