Bragantino draws with Fortaleza, and the isolated leadership of BR-24 belongs to Botafogo

The San Paolo team remains undefeated, but is overtaken by Glorioso in the standings

Red Bull Bragantino sought a 1-1 draw against Fortaleza and remained unbeaten in this edition of the Brazilian championship. However, the result on Sunday (28), in Castelão, cost the team from the interior of São Paulo the isolated leadership. Botafogo is now leader of the competition at the end of the fourth round of the national tournament.

Massa Bruta has eight points and therefore occupies third place in the BR-24. Fortaleza has five and occupies eleventh position. However, there is one less round.

Balance and fair score

Fortaleza did not notice the intrepid Bragantino and took the lead. At the start, when the opponent threatened to have more possession of the ball, Leão took the lead. Andrade, with a firecracker from outside the area, inflates Cleiton’s rope. Later, however, it was Massa Bruta’s turn to break the home team’s rhythm. Then, Mendes deflected for Sasha to dive and leave everything the same. A fair result for the alternation of weapons that the opponents presented in the first part of the show.

Cleiton saves Bragantino

The match resumes at a slow pace. Fortaleza seemed to have given all their energy to their big win over Boca Juniors last week. However, the team tried to apply pressure and won. Cleiton, the Bragantino goalkeeper, had to work on the shots of Hércules and Pedro Augusto. Massa Bruta, with few goals, at a certain point in the match seemed satisfied with the draw.
