We’ve been talking about the end of Yellowstone for months. But filming on the western series has yet to resume due to behind-the-scenes tensions between Kevin Costner and show creator Taylor Sheridan. The strike of actors and screenwriters, which paralyzed Hollywood for several months, clearly did not help…
After the completion of Yellowstone, two sequels will be released
But the situation seems to be on the verge of a happy outcome. During the interview, Kevin Costner expressed his desire to return to the series. The first two parts of his Western Mural Horizon: An American Saga have been completed and the first part will be pre-screened at the next Cannes Film Festival.
The series was supposed to last for seven seasons – according to Kevin Costner, but in the end it was decided to shorten it to five seasons, the first part of which has already aired.
But fans can rest assured there are two sequels in the works: 6666, a spin-off about the Texas ranch Jimmy (Jefferson White) is now working on, and 2024, a direct sequel that could star Matthew McConaughey.
The ending will not disappoint the fans
Ian Bohen, known for his role as one of Yellowstone’s cowboys, Ryan, spoke to our colleaguesentertainment tonight. The American actor wanted to assure fans that this early end will not be synonymous with disappointment, on the contrary!
“A lot of series ends… but don’t bring satisfaction, this one will end in perfect sequence.” He explained and added: “We’re hoping to have the best series finale ever. Maybe overconfidence, but I really believe that’s what we’re going to do.”
Filming for the second part of Yellowstone’s final season will begin next May. It has not yet specified whether the planned broadcast date for next fall is being retained or if the series will eventually return later in 2025.
All series from the world of Yellowstone can be seen now on Paramount+.
