Anderson Torres tells STF that a hacker disguised him as a doctor

The defense of former Justice Minister Anderson Torres informed the Federal Supreme Court (STF) on Tuesday 30th that his Facebook profile had been hacked and requested the permanent deletion of his account. He is banned from using social media.

In a letter sent to the office of minister Alexandre de Moraes, the lawyers say that the profile photos have been replaced by “absolutely crude montages”. The defense attached the images to the file.

“These images, which even for non-experts on the Internet or Photoshop, correspond to a crude editing, some of which even suggest that the applicant worked as a doctor,” the document reads.

The former minister is on provisional freedom, with an electronic bracelet on his ankle, and one of the conditions he must respect is to stay away from social media.

The defense provided clarifications to the STF to avoid the hacking of the account being interpreted as a failure to comply with precautionary measures, which could be the basis for a new arrest decree.

According to the lawyers, the last proper account movement occurred on December 31, 2022. “It is extremely necessary that the facts narrated here be clarified.”

Anderson Torres is under investigation in the coup investigation and in the investigation into the role of the authorities in the acts of the January 8 coup.
