A Better Life Preview: Episode Summary for Monday, July 4, 2022 [SPOILERS]

With no news from Abdel, Elisa thinks the policeman who rings her doorbell has come to arrest her father. Rather, the policeman is there to warn them about a robbery in their neighborhood. When Vincent notices that Elisa doesn’t look well, he suffers from a fever.

During this time, Barbara urges Abdel to act. As he leaves the house, he meets Elisa, who tries to understand what’s going on. Abdel tells him that he saw Marco’s video, but he has to check something. He asks her to trust him.

Tim, who overheard their conversation, waits for Abdel to leave to suggest that Elisa look at the pictures on her computer. Elisa is shocked when she sees her father on the video. Tim doesn’t hesitate to let her know that his best man is none other than Karim, Abdel’s father, and that, obviously, he’s not ready to condemn her.

In turn, Abdel finds his father. The young lawyer suffers: he does not want to sacrifice his love for Elisa, but he knows that his father will threaten him with life imprisonment if he condemns him. Instead, Abdel orders Karim to break up with Vincent. As soon as he has proof, Abdel calms down. At the same time Elisa goes to her house. Despite wanting to stay in Simon’s arms, Eric gets up to go to work. He is ready to leave a sweet note to his beloved, he changes his mind and throws away the paper. Still, Simon approaches her before getting into the car. He warns her that the mare must give birth in the evening, hoping that they can share this moment together. Eric promises to be there.

Arriving late at the police station, Eric Jean-Paul hung up the hanger. Together with Revel, the latter decides to search a flea market in search of stolen art and jewelry. At the scene, Jean-Paul instructs Eric to make a detailed descriptive list of all the recovered objects. A horrified policeman warns Simon that he cannot join him for the evening.

Eric stays late at the police station to complete his mission. Simon calls her to tell her that her mare is doing very well. The two men hope to meet the next day to choose a name for the bee together.

At the Mistral Bar, Lola wants to show off her prom dress to Sunalee. She then discovers that her dress is torn. In turn, Noah receives messages from Beth, who is still hoping that she will be his date to the ball.

Noah ignores Betty’s messages and accompanies Lola to the thrift store to find her a new dress. Overjoyed, Lola tells him how much she loves him and how she sees a future with him. After which Noah goes to Betty to tell her that he won’t be her date out of respect for Lola. Betty confirms that she is taking it well, while it hurts.

Meanwhile, Dimitri realizes that many of his sister’s former classmates will attend the prom. Sunalee feels this is a chance to learn more about what happened to her. However, Dimitri insists not to take too many risks.

At the same time, Frank and Delphine finished creating the Ball Time Gallery. Wanted at the construction site, Frank regrets not being able to attend. She hopes that Delphine will be able to handle her son alone, especially when he is confronted with Coral’s photos in the gallery of recent times.
