Following the trilogy initiated by Rupert Wyatt in 2011, Planet of the Apes New Kingdom marks the beginning of a new adventure following Caesar’s epic. This time, the story takes us several generations after the death of the ape leader, introduces us to new main characters, including the hero Noah.

With the film release of this new iteration of the franchise, we invite you to discover the actors behind the apes in the film. To interpret them, they used the now well-known performance capture technology. Actors full of sensors portray the characters, and visual effects artists from Weta Digital are responsible for transforming them into primates via computer.

Owen Teague plays the character Noah

Kevin Durant plays the big bad, Proximus Caesar

Peter Macon plays Raka, Noah’s companion on an adventure to find his clan

As a new tyrannical leader gradually builds his empire, a young ape embarks on a perilous journey that will lead him to question everything he knows about the past and make choices that will shape the future of apes and humans alike. Directed by Wes Ball, the film hits theaters on May 8.
