After filming Midnight in the Switchgrass, Bruce Willis starred in five more films before retiring and announcing his diagnosis of aphasia.
the lawyer of Bruce Willis revealed why the actor continued working after his diagnosis of aphasia. Martin Singer cleared up the rumors that Willis would have been forced by Randall Emmettdirector of Midnight on Switchgrass (2021), to work despite health problems.
To Los Angeles Timesthe attorney said, “My client continued working after his medical diagnosis because he wanted to work and was able to do so, as do many others diagnosed with aphasia who manage to continue working.”
“Since Mr. Willis appeared in these films, they could be financed. This resulted in literally thousands of people having jobs, many during the COVID-19 pandemic,” he added.
Willis starred in five more films with Emmett before announcing his retirement earlier this year. Through the filmmaker’s production company, Emmett/Furla Oasisboth have worked together on more than 25 titles.
