Meryl Streep, the first (huge) star of Cannes 2024. The American actor, who has been absent from the Croisette for thirty-five years, made a grand return to the stairs at this 77th festival to accept the awards. Honorary Palme d’Or to Juliette Binoche.
The Palme d’Or (the competition) will be awarded in twelve days, on Saturday, May 25, by the jury of President Greta Gerwig. Surrounded by his jury, the Barbie director was able to enjoy a mini-concert by Zaho de Sagazan in his honor from the Palais des Festivals.
