HPI on TF1: Season 4 better than last?

Morgan Alvaro is finally back! Less than a year after the last episode of season 3 aired, HPI returns this Thursday 16, but on TF1 from 21:10 for the broadcast of season 4. And for this new year, life will be a long, quiet river away from Morgan Alvaro.

Who is the father of Morgan’s baby?

Banish the natural, it returns to a gallop. Although Morgan (Audrey Flerot) finally seemed to have her life back in order, she found out in the season three finale that she was several weeks pregnant.

Unfortunately, Red Tornado doesn’t know who the father of Timothy (Jeremy Levine), David (Dudu Masta) and Karadek’s (Mehdi Nebibu) baby is. So it’s a thorny question, to say the least, that Season 4 of HPI sets out to answer.

And if viewers have been waiting for an answer since the first few minutes, they’ll have to wait, as the identity of the father won’t be revealed until the end of Season 4, which won’t air on TF1 until next fall.

Therefore, the first episode takes place immediately after the events of the previous season and thus allows us to follow the journey of Morgan, who once again finds himself in a difficult situation.

A narrative arc that allows the writers to revisit the hot topic of abortion, which is often sidelined in television series.

If the theme is strong, the authors, as always, manage to establish lightness through the character of Morgan, but also through the characters of his two children, who are far from enthusiastic about the idea of a new baby in the family.

Season 4 is as fun and original as ever

HPI Season 4 opens with a scene reminiscent of the 80s family soap operas. An opening sequence that sets the tone and shows once again that the writers aren’t afraid to play with genre codes.

And if we were treated to an episode directly inspired by the video games in Season 3, this new burst of episodes will also offer an original story and investigations, each crazier than the last. This year, Morgan Alvaro will travel through time… quite a program!

The first four episodes of HPI Season 4 live up to what the writers have been able to offer in previous seasons. A well-crafted punchline, an incredible look from Morgan, an investigation in full swing…

All the ingredients come together to have a good time. Morgan’s pregnancy and her relationship with Karadek also help breathe new life into the series and, above all, add a touch of humanity to a character who, for once, doesn’t have all the answers.

Arrival of a new character

If Morgan, Karadek, Gilles (Bruno Sanchez), Celine (Marie Denarno) and Daphne (Béranger McNeese) return this season 4, the police department will have to make way for a new recruit who will sow discord within the team.

A true free spirit, this character, played by Thomas Shimeka, seen in the TV series Les Grands or Bêtes blondes, will clash with Karadek’s uncompromising strictness. Although he quickly befriends Morgan, the two characters are very similar characters, Gilles quickly becomes wary of this new colleague who seems to be hiding many secrets.

Tom Shimeka

In short, this new season of HPI, with its original explorations and its frenetic pace, lives up to what has been offered in previous years. A new mystery thread surrounding Morgan’s pregnancy allows the writers to refresh themselves by injecting new life into something that should keep us in suspense all season long.

Who is the father of Morgan’s baby? And how will Karadec react when he hears the big news? Respond to HPI Season 4, which arrives on Thursday 16th May at 9.10pm on TF1.
