For those eager for more ‘chips, 1, 2, 3’, good news! The second season of Round 6 will debut this year and already has the exact month it will happen: December. The information was confirmed by Lee Jung-jae, protagonist of the series which is one of Netflix’s biggest successes, to Business Insider.
In production since last year, Round 6 revealed the first images of the second season in February this year.
The publication also confirmed the return of characters who were successful in the first year of the series. This is the case of Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae), Front Man (Lee Byung-hun) and the Recruiter (Gong Yoo). The photos also showed the arrival of another member (played by Park Gyu-young) in the universe of Round 6.
In addition to these, Kang Ae-sim, Lee David, Lee Jin-uk, Choi Seung-hyun, Roh Jae-won, Won Ji-an and Jo Yu-ri are confirmed.
Absolute success, Round 6 has become one of the most watched series on Netflix, also winning two Emmy Awards: one for best actor in a drama series, with Jung-jae winning (he became the first Asian actor to win an Emmy) and another for best director in a drama series drama series (for Hwang Dong-hyuk).
The production also won a reality show based on the series’ challenges, which led to threats of legal action from Netflix. Remember here!
