Elizabeth Olsen Jokes That She Wants Fans To ‘Frighten’ Marvel Into Bringing Wanda Back

“I would love to do more.”

Spoilers ahead for ‘Doctor Strange 2’the most surreal sequel to Marvel

elizabeth olsen has spoken about his future at Marvel after his last appearance as Wanda Maximoff aka The Scarlet Witch in ‘Doctor Strange 2’, available on Disney + Spain.

The star appeared in ‘The Tonight Show’ to promote her new children’s book ‘Hattie Harmony: Worry Detective’ and told host Jimmy Fallon that wants to return to the MCUbut is still in the dark about that.

“I hope so. They don’t tell me anything about my fate,” Olsen said.

“I should come back. But really… I don’t know. I want the fans to be so aggressive and terrify Marvel into doing it,” Olsen joked, channeling his inner Scarlet Witch before backing off and clarifying that using the force ” It’s not a good way to do anything.”

“I take back what I said. No one has to use force,” he said. “I would love to do more”.

Until now, Olsen has appeared in seven MCU projects., beginning with the uncredited cameo that featured Wanda in 2014’s ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier.’ Olsen was then properly introduced in ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ before appearing in ‘Captain America: Civil War’, ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ and ‘Avengers: Endgame’.

After these appearances, Olsen starred in the first series from the MCU on Disney+, ‘Scarlet Witch and Vision’, which received critical acclaim (here the Marvel series on Disney+, from worst to best). This series led to Wanda established herself as a villain of Marvel in ‘Doctor Strange in the multiverse of madness’ -thanks to Sam Raimi’s personal touch, which made us wonder if ‘Doctor Strange 2’ is too terrifying for children- in front of América Chávez (Xochitl Gómez) and himself Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch).

What happened to Wanda at the end of Doctor Strange 2? Wanda apparently sacrifices herself to destroy the Darkhold and prevent someone else from being possessed by the demonic book, which corrupted her, and that ‘Doctor Strange 2’ could have a darker alternative ending. Wanda topples the structure of Wundagore Mountain, apparently crushing herself, but we never see a corpse confirm death. At this point it is important to review a key detail in ‘Doctor Strange 2’ and the nod to the future of Scarlet Witch.

Also, a mysterious burst of red energy erupts just as the mountain collapses. Could this indicate that Wanda perhaps teleported somewhere? Maybe to a different dimension or universe?

Either way, no one really dies in the MCU, so there’s always room for Wanda to make another appearance, whether it’s in a solo show or movie or another project.

This is especially true now that the multiverse is officially in the MCU and is being actively explored. Nevertheless, it remains to be seen if Olsen will return like the Wanda of Earth-616 who supposedly died in the ‘Multiverse of Madness’ or if she will appear as an alternate Wanda.

Given the popularity of the character and Olsen’s acclaimed performances in the MCU, it seems very likely that Kevin Feige and company will want to bring Wanda back at some point.

In the meantime, Marvel Has Greenlit Disney+ Series Agatha: House of Harkness, which will bring back Kathryn Hahn’s villain Agatha Harkness after her key role in ‘Scarlet Witch and Vision’. In theory, this series could be a good time to reintroduce Wanda to the MCU, but with Marvel… who knows?
