Internationally critically acclaimed horror shows an episode of demonic possession on a live television program
Diamond Films Brasil released, last Wednesday (22), the first national trailer for Interview with the Devil(Late Night with the Devil, in the original), which premiered in North American theaters with a 97% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes. But when will the film arrive in Brazilian cinemas?
What it is Interview with the Devil?
Written and directed by the brothers Colin It is Cameron Cairneswho already had some horror productions under their belts, the new one stars David Dastmalchianin Dune (2021) and The Suicide squad (2021), as Jack Delroya presenter of a talk show television, who is trying his best to recover his audience after being away from TV due to the death of his wife.
On Halloween night 1977, however, he decides to make his final move: he invites a medium to the program, who promises to communicate with the dead; a skeptic, who says he can unravel any charlatan; and the big attraction of the night, Lilly (Ingrid Torelli, Five Rooms), a girl who lives with a demon inside her, accompanied by her guardian.
The idea is to carry out a demonic possession on stage, but the situation starts to get out of control and becomes dangerous for everyone, especially for Jack, which has its secrets revealed to the world before your eyes. Watch the trailer below:

With the worldwide success of the film, which premiered on March 22 in the United States, Diamond Films Brasil decided to bring forward the release of Interview with the Devil this way. Previously scheduled for September 26, 2024the production should reach Brazilian cinemas from 4th of July.
