The Brazilian designer will design the skate collection for three countries at the Olympics

The collection from three countries will be signed by Brazilians

A Brazilian brand in collaboration with a Brazilian designer, called Pedro Andrade, will be behind the uniforms of the skate team from three countries (Portugal, the Netherlands and Slovakia) at the Paris Olympic Games.

The brand was founded by David Python and Fernando Porto in Brazil. When creating uniforms, the main premise is sustainability. The technology of the uniforms that will be used uses recycled PET bottles in the composition.

The Brazilian designer’s inspiration for the collection was the design of football shirts used between the 90s and 2000s, with specific references for each country.

In an interview with Forbes, Pedro Andrade explained what he thinks specifically about each country chosen in the process of making the uniforms.

– For the Slovak team we were able to use the lines of the flag which remind me of a cloud and the colors are incredible. For Portugal I managed to create something bolder, using the abstract lines of the Cariuma logo to appear more aggressive. The Dutch team wanted something simpler, with clean lines, she said.
