Google News is facing instability in Brazil and other countries this Friday morning (31), users report

OR Google News encountered difficulties this Friday (31). According to Downdetector, a collaborative portal for checking if a service is unavailable, there have been reports of the search engine’s news section being unavailable in the morning. The complaints were also presented on social networks, such as X (exTwitter).



Google News unstable

According to Downdetector, complaints about Google issues began surfacing around 9 a.m. and peaked at 10:24 a.m. The most reported issues concern “Search”, “Website” and “Login”, but the comments mainly focus on the company’s news portal.

The heat map showed that complaints are mainly concentrated in Minas Gerais, Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo. But there have also been reports in Brasilia, Ceará, Paraná and other regions of the country.

There have also been reports of instability in Google News abroad, as reported on Friday morning by the TechRadar portal (31).

To the Canaltech, Google confirmed the instability and said the issue has been resolved. Read the position in full:

“There was an issue briefly affecting some results in Google News, Discover, and other products. We have resolved the issue and they are now functioning normally.”
