Consumers in Rio Grande do Sul will be entitled to a partial or total refund of the amount ICMS paid for the purchase of so-called “white” appliances: refrigerators, stoves, washing machines and dryers. The measure was announced by the governor Eduardo Leiteafter informing that the proposal was being analyzed.

Additionally, the state government paid for the third batch of program resources “Return”, benefiting more than 5,500 families affected by environmental disasters between January 1 and May 31, 2024. The total value of the lot is R$13,827,500, and each homeless or homeless family will receive R$2,500, according to the criteria defined by the government.
