The release could take place together with the premiere of the second season of the HBO series
Summary
The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered was ready for PC at least seven months ago, but Sony could delay its release to coincide with the second season of the HBO series, scheduled for 2025.
Apparently the version of The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered for PC has been ready for at least seven months.
According to the insider Billbil-kunwhich has a positive history linked to subsequently confirmed leaks, development of the PC game began in 2021 and was completed in November 2023.
But if that’s really the case, why didn’t Sony release the game? The insider believes that perhaps the company is delaying the launch to coincide with the second season premiere of the HBO series, which will arrive in 2025.
If this is the case, PC players will still have to wait a little longer before being able to play The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered, which is currently only available for PlayStation 5.
Fortunately, two more Sony games will arrive on your computer in the next few months, namely God of War Ragnarok and the remake of Until Dawn. Both require a PSN account to play on PC.
