Last month, the Amazon platform greenlit a sequel to the Road House remake, a sort of reinvention of the 1989 cult film starring Patrick Swayze, Sam Elliott and Kelly Lynch. Now Jake Gyllenhaal stars in this modern reimagining, which first aired on the streaming service in March.
Jake Gyllenhaal will reprise his role as Ellwood Dalton, a former MMA fighter who was hired as a bar manager in the Florida Keys in the first film. The facility lives under terror orchestrated by the real estate developer’s henchmen, including a near-real war machine named Knox (played by former UFC champion Conor McGregor).
