Who was the British presenter found dead on an island after taking a walk

Michael Mosley became popular on television in programs about healthy weight loss

The tabloid ‘Daily Mail’ has confirmed that the body found on the island of Symi, Greece, is that of its columnist, presenter and writer Michael Mosley. He was 67 years old. He left behind a wife and 4 children.

According to the British press, there are indications that the communicator fell while walking alone. His body was in a ditch, with rocks on top.

The hypothesis has been put forward that he got lost along the way and fell ill due to the heat of almost 40ºC on the day of his disappearance, 5 June. No crime is suspected.

A graduate of Medicine, specializing in Psychiatry, Mosley joined the BBC channel in 1985. He began hosting programs on health and wellbeing. He has also produced and presented several documentaries.

He became popular when he made weight loss content for TV. He advocated intermittent fasting and a low-carb Mediterranean diet.

Episodes on the topic include ‘Eat, Fast and Live Longer’, ‘Should I Eat Meat?’, ‘Who Made Britain Fat?’ and “The Strange and Mysterious World of the Human Stomach.”

“It is devastating to have lost Michael, my wonderful, funny, kind and brilliant husband,” his widow, Clare Bailey Mosley, said in a statement broadcast by the BBC.
