The new version of the classic Nintendo 64 game will be developed by The Initiative and will bring heroine Joanna Dark back to the games
Perfect darknessone of the most anticipated games by Xbox players has finally had its first trailer game revealed during the Xbox Showcase after a few years of disappearance and rumors of problems in its development. The game, developed by The Initiative in collaboration with Crystal Dynamics, brings a new version of Joanna Dark, the heroine featured in the classic title Nintendo 64.
Announced in 2020 with a simple teaser trailer that showed practically nothing, the game has finally been shown off, revealing gameplay that features action, shooting, melee combat, as well as character exploration, which has fans really excited.
At the end of the presentation it was confirmed that new information about the game will be revealed in the coming months, even if a release date is not scheduled.

For now, Joanna Dark fans will have to settle for the title’s brief synopsis:
“The Earth has been the victim of a series of disasters, which have brought ecosystems around the world to the brink of collapse. In the trailer, you can follow Agent Joanna Dark as she hunts down the world’s most wanted criminal, Daniel Carrington , trying to unravel mysteries that threaten the lives of millions of people.”
Despite being born on Nintendo 64 cartridges, Perfect darkness was purchased by Microsoft along with the acquisition of Rare, making the new title exclusive to Xbox Series S/X and PC, coming day one to Xbox Game Pass.
