Last Monday, the Artistic Cinema opened its doors to celebrity guests to show a new documentary about the 75-year-old style icon, actress, singer and wife of the late Serge Gainsbourg. This is a unique retrospective of the life of Jane Birkin, Charlotte Gainsbourg’s meditative and subtle look at her mother, which inspired many generations. The main premiere of the directorial debut of Charlotte Gainsbourg, known for her roles in the films “Nymphomaniac”, “Melancholia” and “Science of Sleep”, took place at the Cannes Film Festival last year, but it has only now reached the Russian audience.
Among the guests of the premiere there were bright cultural figures, including actors, directors, musicians and journalists: the star of “Patient Zero” Elizaveta Shakira, Natalia Bardo, ZOLOTO, Alexander Blanar, Dusya Bubel, Dmitry Vikulin, Galarina Dolgovyh, Danya Dubovskaya, Irina Elizarova, Sergey Kalyuzhny, Vita Klats, Vera Kolesnikova, Philip Lobachev, Galina Mazaeva, Evgenia Mandzhieva, Anna Monakhova, Irina Muromtseva, Alina Nasibullina, Oksana On, Polina Podpletnaya, Olga Starodumova, Alexei Terevkov, Anar Khalilov, Mark Eidelstein, Katos and others.

The film will be released in Russian distribution on July 7, the picture is presented by the creative association Arthouse. At the end of July, the film will be available exclusively on the Wink video service.
Jane Birkin is an Anglo-French actress and singer. Born in the family of actress Judy Campbell and Lieutenant Commander of the Royal Navy David Birkin. She first appeared on stage in 1965 in the film “Knack … And How to Get It”. The first major role – the film “Slogan” (1969), on the set of which Jane met Serge Gainsbourg. The single “Je t’aime… moi non plus”, recorded with Gainsbourg, was at the top of the charts. She was nominated for the Cesar Award in the Best Actress nomination for her role in Serge Gainsbourg’s film I Love You … I Don’t Have You Too. Jane Birkin and Serge Gainsbourg never married despite a long relationship. Has one child each with three men: Serge Gainsbourg, John Barry and Jacques Doillon. Birkin has worked with Amnesty International on migrant welfare and the AIDS epidemic.
