After nearly three years of waiting, Netflix has finally revealed the first teaser for the second season of Arcane. Although it has already been announced that the series will return next November, the platform today offers new images of the program adapted from the world of the League of Legends video game.
Arkan, it’s already (soon) over!
But this teaser also hides some very bad news for Arcane fans. Netflix has actually confirmed that the series will end in this second season and that no season will see the light of day. A decision made by the creators of the show to respect the framework of the original script and the mythology of the characters.
No matter, because the Arcane universe will continue to expand in the form of new movies and new animated series that are also inspired by the League of Legends franchise. So there’s good news behind this surprise announcement just two seasons after Arcane ended.
One of the best series of all time on AlloCiné!
The surprise hit of 2021 on Netflix, Arcane was created by animation studio Fortice. The nine episodes of the first season created unprecedented enthusiasm on the platform, especially due to the exceptional quality of their graphics.
Arcane is also among the top-rated series of all time on AlloCiné, with an average rating of 4.6 out of 5. The series also entered the records, both for its stunning budget (an investment of about 80 million dollars) and for its number. Awards received (never in the past has an animated series been so awarded).
In the Steampunk world, two cities are in conflict: one – Piltover – represents wealth and modernity, and the other – Zaun – symbolizes poverty and crime. Caught against their will in a conflict beyond their control, the two sisters, Jinx and Vee, go their separate ways and become mortal enemies by force of circumstance.
The second and final season of Arcane can be seen next November exclusively on Netflix.
