The Minister of Communications was indicted by the PF for having participated in an alleged attempt to divert parliamentary amendments, through the Companhia de Desenvolvimento dos Vales do São Francisco e Parnaíba

President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) said that the Minister of Communications, Juscelino Filho (Union-MA), “you have the right to prove that you are innocent”.




Juscelino Filho was indicted by the Federal Police (PF) for participating in an alleged plan to divert parliamentary amendments through the Companhia de Desenvolvimento dos Vales do São Francisco e do Parnaíba (Codevasf).

Lula said of the minister

“I believe that the fact that the boy is indicted does not mean that he has made a mistake. It means that someone is accusing and that the accusation has been accepted. Now I need people to prove that they are innocent and he has the power to do that “. just to prove who is innocent. I haven’t talked to him yet, I’ll talk to him today. [quinta-feira, 13] and I will make a decision about it.”Lula said.

The president’s statements were made in the city of Geneva (Switzerland), where Lula will participate in the launch of the Social Justice Coalition of the International Labor Organization (ILO).

Lula will then continue on Thursday evening towards Puglia, in southern Italy. You will participate as a guest at the G7 summit, the group of the most developed countries in the world.

Accusations against Juscelino

The holder of the Communications portfolio is suspected of having committed the crimes of passive corruption, money laundering and criminal organisation.
