Dragon House: ‘We Couldn’t Be More Excited’… This Surprise Announcement Will Delight Fans!

This is an announcement we haven’t seen. HBO is proving its commitment to the Game of Thrones universe by renewing House of the Dragon for a third season even before the second season airs. It is expected to launch on Monday, June 17 on the Max platform.

Set 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones, House of Dragons explores the heartbreak that led to the fall of House Targaryen in a period world rich with intrigue and dragons created by George AR Martin. The series is based on a book Fire and blood by Martin, enriches an already intimate Westeros lore with new stories and characters perhaps even scarier than iron throne.

Familiar faces return

Season 2’s cast includes familiar faces like Matt Smith, Emma D’Arcy and Olivia Cooke, as well as newcomers like Abubakar Salim and Freddie Fox. Who will ally with the Greens or the Blacks, the names given to the two opposing camps led by Renyra on one side and Alicent on the other? We’ll have to wait a while to find out.
