Collaboration between the police forces has led to significant drug seizures within a municipality in the RS.
A Civil police and the military brigade carried out a joint operation culminating in the seizure of 330 kilos of marijuana In Tuparendi. The action, coordinated by the Commissioner for the Repression of Organized Crime (Draco/Santa Rosa), led to the arrest of a suspect during the approach.
The operation began after tracking a suspicious vehicle. Upon approach, the driver attempted to flee, but ended up losing control of the car upon entering a local road, causing the vehicle to overturn and fall into a river.
Inside the vehicle, police found approximately 500 blocks of marijuana, for a total of 330 kilos of the drug. The driver was arrested for drug trafficking and taken to the emergency police station for prosecution.
