Between fantasy and reality, some people clearly do not find a way. Actor Nathan Jones, who plays the terrifying Rictus in George Miller’s Mad Max saga from Fury Road to Furiosa, had to remind people that his character was fictional after receiving private messages from angry fans.
This is how the actor spoke through Facebook to remind us that he was only playing a role. In his message we can read:
“Hi everybody,
I’ve noticed a few questions and private messages about my role in Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, especially the scene with young Furiosa. This is a very sensitive topic and I would like to point out that this is a fictional character. The details can be uncomfortable and as an actor it’s my job to portray a character based on the direction and script I’m given. I appreciate your understanding and support in recognizing the difference between fiction and reality. thanks.
Regards, Nathan.“

Recall that Rictus Erectus is the youngest son of the immortal Joe (Hugh Case-Byrne), who we discovered Mad Max: Fury Road, a loyal servant of a terrible father. The character is back Furiosa : Obviously, we find him younger this time around, and also with an unhealthy obsession with the heroine played by Anya Taylor-Joy, hence the hate mail Nathan Jones received
you would understand that Nathan Jones There is no Rictus and there is no Rictus Nathan Jones. Therefore, the actor urges fans not to confuse fiction and reality, no matter how well they play the role.
