Guga was angry during Fluminense’s defeat against Atlético-GO
Full-back Guga did not leave the bench during Fluminense’s comeback defeat against Atlético-GO on Saturday evening, 16th, at the Maracanã. However, he was the protagonist of one of the biggest controversies of the evening. Angered by the refereeing, the player received a yellow card and subsequently slapped the SportV camera, from Grupo Globo.
When the cameraman framed the Fluminense bench, the player stood up, approached the professional and wanted to prevent him from doing his job. A member of the Rio club’s technical committee saved the full-back from the mess.
Guga’s attitude was criticized by journalist Camila Carelli, during the presentation of Troca de Passes, on sportv.
“Guga has so many things to worry about. For example, why was he on the bench? Why doesn’t he enter the field? An attacker plays on the right wing and Guga doesn’t enter the pitch,” said the presenter.
On social media, netizens echoed her professional speech and took her side when criticizing her.
