Megalopolis, new film by Francis Ford Coppola, gets release date

After debuting at this year’s edition of the Cannes Festival, in May, Megalopolisnew film by Francis Ford Coppola (The Godfather), got a release date. According to VarietyLionsgate acquired distribution rights and plans to release it in theaters in September.

What is the story of Megalopolis?

Written and directed by Coppola, Megalopolis It took forty years to finally reach cinemas. The idea for the film – which tells the story of an architect, played by Adam Driver (Star Wars), with the desire to rebuild New York City in a utopian way after a disaster – emerged in the 1980s.
