Singer Chrystian suffers cardiac arrest and is rescued by helicopter

The compatriot is hospitalized in serious condition at the Samaritan Hospital in Sao Paulo, awaiting a kidney transplant

Singer Chrystian, known for his country duo with his brother Ralf, had a sudden illness that evolved into a cardiorespiratory arrest this Wednesday (19th). The Military Police called the Águia helicopter to rescue the artist, who was taken to a private hospital in Sao Paulo.

Health status and medical procedures

According to information from the program “Balanço Geral”, on Record TV, Chrystian was in his home in Mairiporã, in the hinterland of São Paulo, when he began to feel a strong pain in his chest, which quickly worsened. He needed to be intubated on site.

The decision to use the Águia helicopter was made after the arrival of the Samu (Mobile Emergency Service) and Fire Brigade teams, who noted the seriousness of the case.

Kidney transplant postponed

Chrystian has been waiting for a kidney transplant for months. In March he was preparing for the surgery, but, during pre-operative examinations, he had to undergo a catheterization, which required the use of anticoagulant drugs for six months, making it impossible to perform the transplant surgery during this period.

Chrystian’s next show, scheduled for this week, has been canceled due to his health condition.
