“‘Avatar’ haters see it again and think, ‘Oh, ok, sorry, I’ll shut the fuck up.'”
James Cameron has charged hard against the haters from ‘Avatar’ confirming the “around 3 hours” length of the second installment in an exclusive interview with the magazine Empire.
The Oscar-winning and mediatic director has warned that he does not want “that nobody complains about the duration of three hours of ‘Avatar 2’ when they sit down and watch TV for eight hours every day.
“I can already imagine what they’re going to write in the reviews: ‘The agonizingly long three-hour movie…’ It’s like, give me a fucking break. I’ve seen my kids sit down and watch five hour-long episodes in a row. Here’s the big social paradigm shift that needs to happen: It’s okay to get up to pee.”
James Cameron, who may not direct ‘Avatar 4’ and ‘Avatar 5’ as recently dropped, also had words for those who make fun of the first installment despite the fact that ‘Avatar’ fights for the first place of the highest grossing movies in history with ‘Avengers: Endgame’, with 2840 million dollars grossed worldwide that will surely be increased with its revival in the fall.
“The trolls will say that nobody gives a shit and they can’t remember the names of the characters or a damn thing that happened in the movie,” Cameron said. “Then they see it again and it’s like: ‘Oh, okay, sorry, I shut the fuck up’.”
‘Avatar: The Water Sense‘, which will fight to be the best James Cameron film, will be released in theaters around the world on December 15and has already given us a first look at Kate Winslet’s character in ‘Avatar 2’.
From the original title ‘Avatar: The Way of Water’, a name that was already spoken in 2018, the sequel to ‘Avatar’ will surprise us by expanding the limits of the fantastic world we know. James Cameron has been giving us notes about her: “The story of the sequels will follow Jake, Neytiri and her children. It is more a family saga and its problems with humans“. Cameron has insisted that we will see new characters, new locations of Pandora and, above all, the oceans of the planet. The director has carried out a new form of underwater filming, and plans to revolutionize, once again, the world of digital effects in cinema.
