The new generation of Jeep Renegade will have an economical and 100% electric version

Jeep wants to bring the Renegade back to the top of the best-selling SUVs in the world. To do this, prepare the next generation with good news, including an electric version

Jeep CEO Antonio Filosa revealed plans this week to make the Jeep Renegade once again become one of the best-selling SUVs in the world. In a presentation to the brand’s shareholders, the executive described plans to make this happen, including an electric version of the model.

“Our goal is to forcefully enter the United States again and consolidate our position globally with the new Renegade”, summed up the Jeep owner, confident in seeing the phenomenon resurface with the innovations that will be presented in the new generation.

The idea is to renew the Renegade to make the compact SUV even more robust on the outside and technological on the inside. The main innovations, however, will be reserved for a particular version, currently new to the portfolio, which promises to revolutionize the market and put the model back into play.

Renegade will have a 100% electric economical version

Carlos Tavares, CEO of Stellantis, revealed that the new generation of the Jeep Renegade will have a 100% electric version in its range, expected to arrive on the market in mid-2027.

The best news, however, is not the addition of a “fully green” variant to the Renegade portfolio (which already has a hybrid). According to the executive, the BEV version of the SUV will have a decidedly affordable cost, precisely to win back the hearts of the American consumer.

Stellantis’ idea is to sell the electric Renegade at prices starting from $25,000 (around R$125,000 in direct conversion). However, there is no information regarding the technical specifications of the SUV, nor on which markets, other than the United States, the new model will be supplied. Is it possible for Brazil to dream of the electric Renegade?
