The beginning of the second season of “The House of the Dragon” showed us the gruesome killing of Prince Jaehaerys, but there are many more Targaryen deaths to come on the show, according to the book “Blood and Fire”, which is the basis of the TV series series.
It is important to know that there will be spoilers below..
The Targaryen deaths yet to come in ‘House of the Dragon’
The Dance of the Dragons, which is Aegon II and his sister Rhaenyra Targaryen’s fight for the Iron Throne, will leave thousands dead in Westeros, but there are also members of the royal family, specifically from the green side, who will meet a fate . .
Helaena Targaryen
The current queen is one of the most mysterious characters, because with her behaviors and phrases that fly in the air, it seems that she knows what will happen in the future. Additionally, he suffered a traumatic event when he saw his firstborn, Prince Jaehaerys, die.
Although many would have thought that he would survive the war, it turns out that he decides to end his life after the fall of King’s Landing, which is what King Tommen Baratheon does in “Game of Thrones”, but for different reasons.
Alicent Hightower
In “House of the Dragon”, Alicent was presented as a timid person without the power of authority, but after marrying Viserys Targaryen, she became the queen of the Seven Kingdoms. Her resentment of Rhaenyra is evident throughout the chapters, but she also reveals that she harbors some fondness for her from their years as friends. Although many fans would like him to die a gruesome death, the truth is that he died of a winter fever, not the edge of a sword.
Ser Criston Cole
The knight earned the hate of the internet after he became resentful because Rhaenyra Targaryen refused to run away with him to live in anonymity and also to protect Aegon and Alicent. His death occurs when he leads a group of over three thousand men and plans to join Lord Ormund Hightower’s army, but is ambushed by men from the North, where he falls dead after receiving three arrows.
Although Cole is not an official member of the Targaryens, his alliance with the house makes him worthy of appearing on this list.
Prince Maelor
This character, who is the third son of Helaena and Aegon II, does not appear in the “House of the Dragon” series, but in the book “Blood and Fire” there are several theories about what could have happened to him. First, that he was murdered by a mafia. Second, that it was the victim of an accidental crash. or a third, who was killed trying to flee King’s Landing.

Princess Jaehaera
The little one, who is also the daughter of the current kings, has a small presence in the series due to her young age and unfortunately does not have a long life, as she kills herself after watching her grandmother, Alicent Hightower die.
For now, it’s unknown if the show’s creators will honor how part of the Targaryen clan dies, but as the chapters progress we’ll find out.
